Although she's only 17 there's always speculation about who Evans is dating and, when it's rumoured to be someone from the Channel 7 soap opera, it's sure to make the internet. But Evans says it didn't take long to figure out how to deal with the speculation surrounding her love life. "It's really odd, it's bizarre when people you haven't met say things about you, but I don't go looking for it," she says. "Being on Home and Away I have grown up a lot quicker than I would have if I wasn't on the show. But, then again, I don't have a life to compare it to because when I was starting out I was so much younger." Evans' character Matilda Hunter also had some big issues to deal with last year when she broke up with on-screen boyfriend Ric Dalby, played by Mark Furze, after he had an affair with a married woman.

Reiser Prosecutor Saves Victim's Mom For Last
OAKLAND, Calif. -- The mother of Nina Reiser testified Monday that Nina was in love when she met and married Hans Reiser, who's now standing trial on charges he murdered her even though her body was never found. Taking the stand as the last prosecution witness in the lengthy trial of Hans Reiser, a 44-year-old computer engineer, Dr. Irina Sharanova said the couple met in March of 1998 at a cafe in Russia, where Nina was born and raised and was completing her medical studies and where Hans had business. Speaking through a Russian translator and occasionally shedding tears, Sharanova, who is raising the Reisers' two children at her home in St. Petersburg, Russia, said Nina was to serve as a translator for another Russian woman whom Hans Reiser had arranged to meet but he was more interested in Nina and they began dating.
Widow, 65, seduced out of $60,000 by online 'boyfriends'
A BRISBANE widow is on the verge of bankruptcy after being seduced out of $60,000 in successive online romance scams. The 65-year-old first-time internet user was also new to dating when she went looking for love online last year. After joining a meeting website for seniors, the woman was approached by a man claiming to be an English professor of physics who was building a robotic tractor. The woman, who wants to be identified only as Shirley, quickly fell in love with "James" who over several months sent photos of himself, his children and his passport. "I wanted to meet like-minded people," she said. "We were supposed to be married this Christmas. He asked if I could assist him with his project and I didn't hesitate because we were a couple.

Globe High School censors its student newspaper
The readers of the New Times have not been served well. I was part of the decision to pull the December 7, 2007 Papoose and it had nothing to do with the well known term Whudafxup. Rather, as Mr. ONeal and Ms. McLoughlin knew at the time, the reason to pull the newspaper was because of an article describing how to build and use a hookah, a front page picture of a person smoking tobacco, meth or marijuana from a hookah, and quotes by children known to be under 18 talking about using tobacco. Hookahs have another name in modern culture bong the possession of which could be a felony under ARS 13-3415. It is the duty of the school administration to protect children and not to expose them to articles about how to use and build bongs. And although we cant be certain that such an article was a thinly veiled reference to the use of marijuana, it todays anti-drug culture we could not risk that liability.

CROWN Princess Mary could soon be on her way to Tasmania to introduce her young daughter Princess Isabella to her Australian heritage. Crown Prince Frederik has told Danish magazine Billed Bladet that he and Mary expect to bring seven-month-old Isabella and two-year-old Christian on a family visit to Tasmania soon. During an interview on a recent hunting trip, the doting dad proudly told of how good his young daughter was at sitting up straight, how much he loved her beaming smile and of the joy that she had brought the royal family. The magazine reported: "He does expect, not before too long, to take Isabella, Christian and Mary on a family visit to Tasmania." When asked exactly when the trip would take place, a coy Prince Frederik said: "We will certainly drop by Australia at some point." The trip will be the first time the royal family has visited Princess Mary's homeland since Isabella was born.

A sad state of affairs indeed. First the sugar industry, then dairy, now the fisheries and rice and pea mills. Government should intervene and help these industries before it is too late. Where are the incentives that the IG had promised? At least deliver on some of your promises. I would say this is bad management and shortsightedness.
