Good day doctor, I am a 22-year-old young lady, and I have been told that 'independent females' always seem to have problems with males who deem themselves to be God's gift to women. Well, I am dating a young man like that, who is a year older than me, and who seems very naive and narrow-minded. Also, he appears rather intimidated by me. But the big problem is his interfering mother and his meddling aunt! His 'Mama' does not like me, and claims that I am 'the wrong star sign' (Leo)! In fact, the control that his beloved mother has on him is upsetting to me. She is already having converse about her future grandchildren, and saying that I could not care for them in the way that she can. I think I am falling in love with this boy, but I can't cope with his awful mother, who continuously interferes with our relationship.

Grange Hill, which brought a new kind of writing and acting to children's TV, began as the kind of show that newspapers should - and did - campaign to have banned, appalled by the realistic depiction of the sexual and narcotic appetites of schoolchildren. Barrett oversees SRO program
Many times the SRO serves as a counselor for students, parents, and faculty as well. Today there are two SROs at SCHS, two at HMS and one each at Liberty School, Cascade High School and Community High School. Two deputies alternate days at the Bedford County Learning Academy (formerly known as the alternative school). The SROs at Cascade and Community also are available if needed at the elementary schools next door. "As the county schools program grows, then the SRO program needs to grow," Barrett said. "When they build the new Community High School they're going to need another SRO." The men and women who serve as SROs in the county schools are: Deputy Cory Ewing (SCHS); Deputy Kim Brown (SCHS); Deputy Eric Henson (HMS); Deputy Tim Fox (Cascade); Deputy Tracey Harvey (Community); Deputy Bob Filer (Liberty); and Deputy Kevin Roddy and Deputy Mike Henry (Learning Center).

``With our convictions and a little backbone we will take back the White House in November,'' said Edwards, ending his second campaign in a hurricane-ravaged section of New Orleans where he began it more than a year ago. Edwards said Clinton and Obama had both pledged that ``they will make ending poverty central to their campaign for the presidency.'' ``This is the cause of my life and I now have their commitment to engage in this cause,'' he said before a small group of supporters. Edwards said that on his way to make his campaign-ending statement, he drove by a highway underpass where several homeless people live. He stopped to talk, he said, and as he was leaving, one of them asked him never to forget them and their plight. ``I'll never forget you,'' he said, pledging to continue his campaign-long effort to end what he frequently said was ``two Americas,'' one for the powerful, the other for the rest.

DiCaprio and Grenier and their posses exited around 2 a.m., leaving Lohan with some girlfriends. Kevin Connolly, foolishly thinking he'd touch his first boob, tried to make a pass at the desperate Lindsay.
