| Gay matchmaking sites find a growing market
Growing up, Bethtina Woodridge heard all kinds of advice about dating, finding a husband and getting married. "You don't have those tips about meeting women," said Woodridge, 31. "How do I approach her, how do I know she is gay?" For Woodridge, finding that special someone turned out to be easier online. Several months after signing up for dating service Chemistry.com, Woodridge was matched with her partner, who was "incredibly honest and sincere, and she stole my heart." After online giant eHarmony made headlines last year by saying its psychological research is based exclusively on heterosexual relationships, a growing number of rival online matchmakers are using their algorithms to find same-sex love as well. "There are just not enough services for creating healthy relationships, and (it is) a major gap in the gay community," said matchmaker Patrick Perrine, founder of San Francisco-based Mypartner.com, which caters to "sophisticated, cultured and relationship-oriented gay men" and has more than 50,000 clients across the nation.
THE MIRROR: Point and Counterpoint (Browne)
College males have it hard, especially at Dartmouth. Hanover is not really what you'd call the dating hotspot of the Lake Sunapee region, so avenues to meet those women you want to take home to mom are limited. Luckily for Dartmouth men, there is still one avenue where guys can meet ladies and show off their skills. This avenue, my friends, is the dance party. In 2003 Dane Cook uttered the phrase, "Dude, I just wanna dance." When he said this, Dartmouth men everywhere stood up and cheered. Not only do Dartmouth guys love the dance party, but we also know how to treat a lady on the dance floor. For all the men out there who aren't avid dance party–goers and don't know the codes of conduct, take what I say as scripture. And just for everyone's information, the tips I'm giving are not just my observations, but also extensive research of reading over 100 Dartmouth women's diaries and Xanga profiles.
Despite merchandising presence Valentine's Day sneaks up on men
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart" — Helen Keller.Despite the big displays of Valentine’s Day related merchandise in so many local stores, that Thursday is Valentine’s Day will no doubt catch many — mostly men — by surprise, and they’ll be rushing to one of those local stores on their way home from work Thursday, trying to make sure they cover their bases with their loved one.I checked a variety of websites looking for information about Valentine’s Day. .
Clinical trial boosts EpiCor's efficacy for immune health
EpiCor and Embria, as the company bringing it to market, were born out of suspicions that the culture could have other uses following farmers' reports that their animals were not getting sick. Moreover, in 2004 insurance adjusters noticed that Diamond V, Embria's parent company, employees had far lower sick rates than other workplaces. The company thought the culture could be boosting the immune systems of workers who handled it.The new study recruited 116 people recently vaccinated against seasonal flu to take part in the 12-week, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Subjects were assigned to receive either daily supplements of EpiCor (500 mg) or placebo, and data was collected at the start (baseline), after six and 12 weeks. The researchers, led by Mark Moyad from the University of Michigan, reported that the subjects receiving the yeast fermentate had significantly fewer cold and flu symptoms and significantly shorter duration of symptoms, compared to the placebo group.

Watford City native Leom still howling
Once a wolf, always a wolf.David Leom will always be a Watford City Wolf, but now he is still howling as the new head boys basketball coach of the Milaca High Wolves in Milaca, Minn. There's just one problem. "Now our colors are red and black and that makes me think of Ray and gives me a little twinge. If we were maroon and gold everything would be perfect," said Leom. .
High voter turnout causes ballot shortage
I marked it, and then took it back to the table where the poll workers were, one worker took it and started to put it in the ballot box when i stopped her and said it had no voter number on it - they hadn't given me one. And I told her that it had nothing connecting it to me/my information, she just grabbed it and put it in the box. I've been voting for almost 30 years, and I've never seen such a poorly run or more user-unfriendly polling place. There has GOT to be a better way. Your Comments : Price of flour goes up again
Why can't the landowners give some land to capable Indians who will be able to plant many food items and sell at lower price? Common, don't be selfish, share your land. Afterall you will get paid for it. In this case you do not have to listen to a political party, just listen to your heart. God will show you the way. Nice comments by Premila Kumar to plant whatever you can in the backyard. I applaud her for her smart thinking. Even Fiji Times has been poor in giving a solution to this. Fiji Times just shows us the problems but no suggestions to solve problems. Common Fiji Times, wake up, you have so many readers Fiji wide. How about some advise to landowners like me. A President Like My Father
Andrew Sullivan seems to think so, and more or less bases his entire support for Barrack Obama on the man's face. (Even my reserved support for him goes deeper than that.) But it is not an “old guard" attitude to suggest the world is ugly and getting uglier. We live in a time of WW (world war) preconditions: Our economy is sliding down, down, down as anti-democratic forces are running amok around the planet prompting allied (NATO) Generals to start talking about abandoning their prohibitions against “first strike" nuclear options. I don't believe we can be inspired about any of this. And I don't think a right-of-center smooth talking candidate can pull it off. Despite Obama's seeming cakewalk through race-obsessed South Carolina, his campaign is apt to let some pretty vile features of the American character out of their cages (race and misogyny in his case, gender in Hillary's) when the “glow" of these victories will be far off indeed.

The priest was brought back to work in the Providence diocese (see more under that listing). More recently, Bishop Angell allowed six accused priests to stay on the job in Vermont, then later gave their names to the state attorney general and suspended them. He would not identify them publicly. .
